Language - The language of this poster is showing that Carter is a coach ready to take his team to the NBA . The blurring suggests action also his foot on the ball shows power over it and that shows that he is a determined coach.


Institution - The business that created the poster wanted to show that Coach Carter is someone who has control over his basketball team and will make sure that they will become the best of their ability.


Audience -  The audience will be basketball fans as it is a basketball movie and fans will want to be seeing entertaining and determined , hard working characters. The poster will give an interesting view and that will make fans want to watch the movie but if a poster was boring fans may not want to watch it.


Representations - This poster represents hard work and determination as you can see teammates running suicides and you can see the coach have his foot on the ball which means he’s taking action and taking his team to the NBA.

  The advert shows a young kid with ripped clothes who looks likes he's struggling and it says "Dig toilets , Not graves " which is implying that they need toilets and not graves when they die from starvation. The company who made the advert (Water Aid) have purposely used a sad catchphrase that will bring the audience in my making them feel sad for the child in the advertisement. They dig toilets not graves catchphrase they've used to indicate that they are dying in the area that they live in because of the starvation and thirst of the country that they live in.
